Professor Emeritus, School of Psychology

I earned my psychology degrees from SUNY Binghamton and the University of Toronto. My career includes roles as a school psychologist, professor, and visiting appointments at institutions like Oxford. Though I retired in 2024, I continue teaching online and consulting on research. My focus has been helping children and adolescents with psychological and cultural challenges.

Workshops
and Speaking Engagements

I enjoy leading workshops and speaking on the following topics:
 

  • Cultural competence for clinical psychologists

  • Prevention of school bullying

  • Helping children and adolescents make and keep friends

  • Helping children and adolescents transfer the gains made in cognitive-behavioral therapy

  • Depictions of mental illness in film

  • Peer relations of children with ADHD and behavior problems


I can present these workshops and invited addresses in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
